Resources

This is a page I am creating because it was on a site I found through google searching for more information on semilobar holoprosencephaly. I found Jaxton’s story, and on that blog there was a recourse page. I would spend a lot of time trying to find just the right thing, like right song or website where I could connect to people. Finding a resource page made by another mom was so helpful and more personal.

I hope that this page serves people well.

Some blogs:

Books to read:

This book helped me in more ways than I could imagine

I have read this one, and it’s great

Useful sites:

http://www.inspire.com, but there is a group for genetic and birth defects, so you can connect with other people going through tough things http://www.inspire.com/groups/genetics-and-birth-defects/

this is a link to a site that has a list of do’s and don’t’s towards those who have lost an infant: http://www.nowilaymedowntosleep.org/helping_the_bereaved/

This site is about genetic tests during pregnancy and what they mean and do. With so many terms and tests being thrown around this site was a helpful first step. http://www.livestrong.com/article/123788-genetic-tests-during-pregnancy/

Smallest Wingless, by Craig Cardiff

In God’s Time, Randy Houser

Better than a Hallelujah, by Amy Grant

Just a small video. A video that just proves even more that there is a God and gives hope.
